Back to Soccer!!!!

While I still have a LOT to learn about soccer, I'm so excited for it to be soccer season! Jackson was totally ready for it to start.  Grady is already looking like he'll follow in his big brother's, and Daddy's footsteps!

Busy Weekend!!!

We have a crazy weekend ahead of us.  Currently, Jason is out with the big kids.  He just had the training wheels taken off of Molly's bike and then he is picking up their rental equipment for tomorrow.  What equipment you ask?  Well, Molly's skis and Jackson's snowboard!  They are both going up to Keystone for lessons!  What a blessing it has been to give our kids so many new and exciting experiences!

However, before all that excitement, we have a hockey game to go to this evening!!!  Jackson gets to do a scrimmage in between periods at a Colorado College hockey game at the World Arena!

Busy busy busy!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Jason and I don't tend to do much for Valentine's day.  But, since having kids, it has become a little extra special.  I have told him that he will ALWAYS get Molly a valentine and I get something for my boys.  He bought Molly a GIANT stuffed Lion with a heart on it.  If you know Molly well enough, you can imagine how much she loves it.  :)

This morning, I decided to test out the crayons with Grady, again.  It was a success!  No eating them and no throwing them!

Finding the Good

My past couple weeks have consisted of four cases of pink eye, one ear infection, and one severe case of strep throat.  Jackson missed out on his class photo.  Molly missed out on her Valentine's day party.  So....I have been thinking about my past couple weeks.  Yes.  They have been awful and most people would say I have the right to be grumpy and irritable.  But, as I drove home from the store with my Lysol spray and Clorox bleach, I had a thankful heart.  I am healing.  My children will heal.  Today I will work very hard, but, by the end of today, my house may be as sanitary as it has ever been. :)  A thankful heart truly is a happy heart.  If things just aren't going your way, find GOOD!  It may take some hunting, but there is goodness to be found in your life.  Find God's blessings in your life.  Do you have a roof over your head?  Food in your fridge?  Someone to give you a hug when your day just stinks?  Kids, with gross eyes, that hate the fact that they can't give their brother or sister a hug because they just love them so much?

Thankful hearts can be as contagious as pink eye. :)

National Tutu Week?

I am convinced there is a "national week" for everything!  However, in this case, it made Molly's day.  She was able to wear any of her own tutus to class, this week, in honor of national tutu week.  She chose her costume from Don Quixote.  She was the only one NOT wearing pink and I loved it!  My baby girl has no trouble marching to her own beat (thankfully she does try to keep time in ballet) :).  I could watch her dance all day long!

Here are just a few of my favorites from this morning.

Rain or snow, school is still a GO!

While Molly isn't always as thrilled about it as I am, I think it's great that we are still able to have school no matter what the weather.  Today was a bit more difficult since Jackson was still home sick from school.  But she was a good sport about it.  She has already declared he favorite school subject as art.  This doesn't surprise me one bit. :)

She is all register to attend Jackson's current school for 1st grade this coming fall.  At the beginning of our adventure in Kindergarten, I was terrified that she wouldn't be ready but, the light bulbs just keep going on in her head.  I think Kindergarten may just be a success after all!  While I have greatly enjoyed this time with my girl, I will be ready to get my quality Grady time.

Sick Day

Well, I am most certainly sick of sickness!  Last Thursday, Grady went to the doctor with pink eye and an ear infection.  Sunday, Jackson developed pink eye in his left eye.  This morning, the pink eye appeared in Jackson's right eye.  Yes, I do realized I probably should have been putting the eye drops in both eyes just to be safe, but I didn't.  So, we have another sick day.  Molly is at school.  She hasn't shown any signs of being sick and, if she went more than once a week, I probably would have kept her home.

So, what to do with my sick boys?  Play, of course!  I decided to break out some play-doh.  Crazy of me? Perhaps.  I'll most likely just throw away the play-doh they played with just to be safe but a kid needs to have some fun when they've been stuck in the house for DAYS!  Especially when they aren't acting sick and are only home for the sake of the other children at school.  Sadly, Jackson is going to miss his first lego club session of the semester.  Shhhh!  Don't tell him or it will completely ruin his day.  I love my boy and my heart breaks when his heart breaks.
