What a joy it is to live so close to our Kansas family!  Less than five hours drive and we're there!  Family is so important to me and I consider it a huge blessing to be able to take my kids to visit their great-grandma.  She definitely lights up when she see's them and that always makes it worth the trip. :)

Gigi got Grady's nose....

...and Grady got Gigi's nose!

Four generations of Nelson women.

Gigi insisted on holding Grady herself, whenever possible.

The princess and her puppy.  Two peas in a pod.  The perfect pair.  Okay, I'm done now.

It has been kind of tough for me to not buy fun new clothes for Jackson to go to school in.  This will be his first year going to a school with uniforms.  Thankfully, Grandma took care of that and bought him an awesome Ironman shirt.  He was very pleased with it. :)

This afternoon, we went to the Focus on the Family Visitor's Center!

The kids got to go down a 76 foot tube slide!  Molly was JUST barely tall enough to go on it.

They wore socks on their arms (with the toe cut out) so they wouldn't get scrapes or burns on their arms.

Grady LOVES playing in the Camp What-a-nut play area.  He even beat a turtle in a race. :)

He could have spent the entire day crawling through and through this log.

Jackson and Molly even spent some time watching Veggietales.

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL!?!?!?!  Well, Jackson might not be.  In all honesty, he had lots of fun, but I'm not so sure football is his sport. :)

Having fun with one of the coaches.

Being shown the upcoming play and who he needs to guard.

And why do I think football may not be his sport?

Because this is where he and the player he was guarding ended up. :)  Yes, that was WAY out of bounds.

Getting his certificate of completion.

Still so proud of my boy for sticking it out.  Two and a half hours of football four days of the week is pretty tough!

This morning was Molly's last day of ballet camp.  This also meant it was performance day!  I was so excited to watch my little ballerina.  Sure, I'm a little bias but she really was wonderful!  The teacher was wonderful and actually had them perform their ballet twice.  This was great for me because it meant I could record one and take photos during the other! :)

I love my little ballerina and I'm so proud of her!  Now she's worn out and ready to have fun with Grandma!

Her complete ballet can be seen here:

Molly has been having a fantastic time at her ballet camp.  Honestly, what 5 year old girl wouldn't love a week of crafts, snacks, dancing, and dressing up as Cinderella?  It is looking more and more like Molly will be sticking with ballet.  Since I REALLY like this new studio, that decision makes me happy!

Here you can see a clip of Molly playing freeze dance during her ballet camp!

We've been having issues with finding a baby bathtub that works for Grady.  He's simply too big for most baby tubs, but I don't trust him to sit well in the regular bathtub, yet.  If you ever have this same problem, here is a FANTASTIC (thank you for the idea Mom!) fix!  It worked wonderfully and Grady loved it.
