Jackson started flag football camp and Molly started ballet camp this morning.  When I got home from dropping them off (and stopping at Target and Starbucks), I noticed someone seemed to be missing his little people. :)

Benny was cuddled up with Jackson's croc for quite a while.

Yeah, the croc is still under there. :)

Date night with Daddy!  Since Jackson got to go out for lunch and shopping with Daddy, it's Molly's turn tonight.  She even got all dressed up for the occasion.

My big boys are getting ready to start hiking together!  Jackson has new hiking boots and both have new packs with camelbaks in them.  I think Jason is pretty excited for all their future adventures. :)

What a night!?  Not sure I want to go to a sold out baseball game with three kids, again, anytime soon.  But I'm still glad we went.  We even got to see the San Diego Chicken!  He was a guest mascot for the game.  I gotta say, he was mighty entertaining!

The evening started off with some rain, but turned out to be a beautiful night for baseball and fireworks!

This was Grady's first baseball game.

Introducing the San Diego Chicken!

Meeting Sox the Fox.

The little chicks were learning the ways of baseball.

First, they each took turns smacking the catcher on the bum!

Then, they spent some time teasing the away team! :)

As crowded as it was, it was still a great way to spend the Fourth of July!  Watching a great American past time and fireworks with my family. :)

140/365

I love the Fourth of July!!!  I'm not, however, sure what my favorite part of it is.  I think it's simply the feeling of unity that comes with the celebration.  We are celebrating our country's freedom.  We are celebrating our freedom.  This freedom, though not free, is something each and every one of us shares.  It is something that, no matter what your race, religion, gender, economic status, occupation....no matter any of that, you have freedom.  For me, I cherish my religious freedom.  To know that, in other countries, people are not only persecuted but even killed for simply believing in God, makes my heart ache.

As I have spent the past nine and a half years as an Air Force wife, this appreciation has grown stronger.  I see, first hand, so many of the sacrifices made.  I have also been able to become a part of a community like no other.  Soldiers sometimes talk about comradery and having each others backs.  They aren't the only ones.  I have made some of the most amazing friends who I know wouldn't think twice before helping me.  I'm not saying there aren't nonmilitary people likes this.  I'm just glad to part of a community where this mentality seems to be the norm.  I look forward to the next 11 or more years of making more and more friends.

Look who's 9 months old today!!!  Wow!  How time flies!  What a blessing he has been!  Sure, I have only slept a hand full of complete nights in the past year and a half, but I wouldn't trade him for anything.  He is one of the most pleasant and happy babies I've ever known.  Now, if only I could get him to stop waking up JUST after I fall asleep. :/

I love you, Grady!
